The East Fork of the Samon River runs through the heart of the Boulder-White Cloud mountains. Salmon use to swm by the thousands from the Pacific Ocean all the way to this river 900 miles inland! Now, very few, if any, return here. Protecting the river and the landscape as wilderness is a good start to ensure the survival of salmon.
