Sunset in the Boulder Mountains looking across to the Sawtooth Mountains in the distance. This vantage point was near camp at a high pass above Pole Creek, East Fork of the Salmon River, and Deer Creek; near the western edge of the Boulder Mountains. This was late September. I had seen a big horn sheep earlier, an elk and a snake. The east Fork trail is a motorized trail that will be closed down if CIEDRA passes.
